Hi, I’m Ms. Green! I think of myself as a life long learner and teaching artist. I was born and raised in Chicago IL, where I majored in art at Lane Tech High School, where I was able to grow my abilities in drawing, painting, ceramics, and sculpture.
In college at the Kansas City Art Institute, I fell in love with sewing and quilting. In 2017 I graduated with my BFA in fiber. Before returning to school to get my Master’s Degree in Art Education I spent time teaching at the non-profit, Youth Ambassador’s KC where I realized how fulfilling and transformative art education could be for myself and my students. While pursuing my MAE+licensure at Virginia Commonwealth University I was fortunate enough to work and teach at several local schools, The Visual Art Center of Richmond, and The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. Since Graduating in December of 2023, I have been growing experience in early childhood education by working as a Pre-k teacher in a local Richmond private daycare. I can officially say I have taught all ages. In 2025, I am now looking forward to returning to my home town of Chicago and beginning my journey working in the same school district I grew up in.
